United Healthcare Therapy in Boulder, Colorado
Ashton Mental Health is in-network with United Healthcare (UHC). Behavioral health for UHC is administered through Optum, and most UHC plans cover therapy at your standard copay or coinsurance once any deductible is met.
What UHC and Optum Typically Cover
Most United Healthcare commercial and employer-sponsored plans cover outpatient mental health services, including individual, couples, and family therapy with an in-network licensed provider. In-person sessions at our Boulder, Fort Collins, or Longmont offices and telehealth across Colorado are typically both covered.
What You Will Pay
- A flat copay per session (commonly $20–$60), or
- A coinsurance percentage (commonly 10%–30%) after meeting your deductible.
How to Verify Your UHC Benefits
- Have your UHC member ID card ready.
- Call the behavioral health / Optum number on the back of your card or log in to uhc.com or liveandworkwell.com.
- Ask: “What is my outpatient mental health benefit for an in-network licensed therapist (CPT 90837 and 90834)?”
- Confirm your copay, coinsurance, and remaining deductible.
