What Family Therapy Can Help With
Communication
Build healthier ways to talk, listen, and understand each other — even when emotions run high.
Conflict Resolution
Move past recurring arguments and power struggles with tools that actually work for your family.
Life Transitions
Adjust together through divorce, blending families, moves, loss, or other major changes.
Neurodivergent Family Members

Parent-Child Relationships
Strengthen bonds between parents and children of all ages, from adolescents through adulthood.
Rebuilding Trust
Repair relationships strained by conflict, misunderstanding, or difficult experiences.
Our Approach
Family therapy at Ashton Mental Health is collaborative. Your therapist works with the family as a unit to identify patterns, improve communication, and build understanding. We create a safe space where every family member feels heard.
We use evidence-based approaches tailored to your family's needs. Our therapists are trained to work with diverse family structures and are neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQ+ affirming. Visit our providers page to learn more about each therapist's specific approach.
Sessions are available in-person at our Boulder, Fort Collins, or Longmont offices, or via secure telehealth anywhere in Colorado. We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Colorado Access, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Northeast Health Partners, and CCHA.
Every Family Is Different
There is no single right way to be a family. We meet yours where it is and help you build the connections and communication skills that work for your unique situation.
