As both a therapist and a writer, I bring curiosity, creativity, and care into the therapy room. My background as a journalist has helped me bring a thoughtful, grounded approach to our work together. I'm drawn to helping people understand the patterns shaping their lives, not just manage symptoms.
What to Expect in Your First Session
People come to me when they feel stuck whether it is with anxiety, relationship patterns, people-pleasing, burnout, or a major life transition. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're used to handling things on your own, and you do not have to have it all figured out to begin. Our work together focuses on building trust, exploring your story, and developing practical tools, so you can expect greater self-awareness, emotional balance, clearer goals, and stronger connections with yourself and others.
Primary Specialties
Who I Work With
Adults and elders (18+); individuals and couples. I work with women, LGBTQ+/queer clients, creatives, parents (including single parents), caregivers, and deep thinkers who question the shoulds they were raised with. My practice is allied and affirming for the LGBTQ+ population.
Therapeutic Approaches
An integrative, trauma-focused approach combining narrative therapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gottman Method, attachment-based and person-centered therapy, somatic work, mindfulness, existential and feminist theory, and culturally sensitive/multicultural care.
